I paid our local doctor about the same as you last but as I am due to renew next April I am considering this alternative as the cost is less than half.

I had thought of it Mike.... but as far as I know the chosen doctor if not your own, would have to get in touch with your own doctor to ask about previous ailments... and conditions...

So because of the time factor, I decided to go with my own Doc to save time..

Now I should have my license back within a few weeks, thus allowing us to be away when it is due (Jan 19th)....

I don't know,,,, possibly some would say what`s all the fuss about...

Just to put you in the picture... Early 1980`s I was a civilian attached to the R.N... at HMS Osprey...

And because of the work load and the Falklands trouble, we worked round the clock,,,, which consequently led me to have a systemic murmour of the heart.. which in turn led me to getting a medical discharge, from a job I loved and had done for 22 years or there about`s...

DVLA, took my HGV away immediately,,,, but after a while and after medicals etc, given my C1 of E back with restrictions...

Which enabled me to drive 5th Wheels and RV`s... etc up to 8.25 ton...

Because of our situation with Paul we need some space... and hence ditching the gas guzzling RV`s for what we have now...

Had I of not passed this medical and eye test..... our galavanting around would have come to an end... :Sad: which would have been a right "Bummer"..:Sad:

Cos there is nothing I enjoy more than winding you lot up and telling jokes that are so old I cant remember them...

My main reason to get through the medical, and stay a member was to "Really"... "Really".... get up Jim`s nose...

Cos he thought he was getting a good deal on that famous "URN".... and didn`t think I would make one year, let alone the 15 years I got me eye on....

So you and him is stuck with me.... :Tongue1::Sad:
