We're looking to travel from Calais to Chalon, Dijon, Macon, Lyons, Bezier (approximate areas). We'd welcome any suggestions for non toll (or minimum toll) routes. Planning to spend a few days around St.Dizier early on. Not made our minds up for later in the trip. We have four weeks in all and may nip into Spain before coming back up the west coast. Starting in two weeks time!

We did almost that route last year and didn't pay any tolls even the motorway was free for most of the way.

Bill, final destination is not Spain. We'll call in if we're passing! Aiming to visit eastern France essentially.

Chaser, which route(s) did you use?
