    Can I use the Beta forever and will Msoft allow updates.

    Not entirely sure but see http://www.microsoft.com/Office/2010/en/faqs/default.aspx#14q Your data will always be in a file you can move elsewhere and convert if needed. Expiry is haloween this year....
    After Beta you can download trial to access your data.
    If you intend buying then you can porobably survive till Jan 2011.
    If you don't intend ever buying and aren't into "dodgy" software, then no poiint using it now - you may as well start with a new free package. If you use dodgy software then there will be info out there as soon as RTM is released.

    No - it will probably update your files for the new system and then when the time comes, it WILL expire and you WILL be forced into buying the new version as your files will not be backward compatible - happened to me last time prompting my switch over to Apple which I've never regretted!

    Why bother with MS Office when Open Office is available?
