I have been singing "When I'm Sixty Four" to Malc since last week ( guess how old he is ). Looking forward to our first Merseyside trip even more now. Will be attending some of the freebie events. Would go them all if I could hear. ( I like my money's worth ).

Not sure about train transport yet... but there is a direct Bus into Liverpool from West Kirby and from Hoylake to West Kirby( which is just up the road.)
