Mercedes 410D based Motorhome gearbox (1 Viewer)

Hi
I'm looking at buying a RMB motorhome based on this chassis but from previous experience with a Hymer 700 I know that if they have the wrong gearbox they are heavy on fuel and very noisy. Do any of you mechanical wizards out there know how I can find out which box is fitted to the car. I do have the VIN number and part number for the box but this gives no info if it is the direct top or overdrive top.
