Could anyone tell me if the USB port on our about 7 year old Avtex TV is likely to support Mp4 media if it's transferred from our laptop onto a memory stick?

I currently connect direct using VGA as the Avtex has no HDMI input.

    Cheers Dave

Yes it will support MP4 but it doesn't support all types of memory stick and they have to be formatted in a certain way.

Best thing to do is Google a user manual for your TV model number and you will get instructions specific to that model.

You could use one of these and it play all files.

My Avtex W163D (circa 2010) doesn't support MP4 format. I have to convert the MP4 files to MPEG1. I use this free product here.
