Fuel went up by 5cents while we were there - started at about €1.08
Aachen stellplatz €10(?) collected by a helpful man with some English - functional shower and toilet if needed. Turn right and walk to the main road - bus stop frequent service by petrol station.
Trier we used the P&R car park(free) for a day visit clearly signed on approach from west - there is an elevated dual carriageway and the stellplatz is the other side. u might get away with staying in the P&R car park. There is a bus stop with shelters on the P&R but service not running when we were there - climb up the steps to the dual carriage way and u will find the bus stop for town.
Piesport stayed in a small 4 van stellplatz edge of village €10 - quirky shower and toilet arrangement in owners garage. nice village for a bottle of wine and something to eat.
Bernkastel parked up in Kues(dedicated motrohome parking and services but could not figure if overnight was allowed) and walked over river bridge very picturesque and hence full of tourists.
Bullay asci site excellent location and facilities but we found the village sightly strange. caught the train to visit Cochem (cock'em is how its pronounced) stiff climb up to the castle and debatably not worth the entrance fee. worst apple strudel in the whole of germany.
Rhins stellplatz(free) right next to the railway station - u would have to be a very heavy sleeper or deaf to parkup overnight. nice little town for a wander around.
Lahnstein stellplatz €12 with shower and toilet facilities handy for train into koblenz.
Oberwesel asci site facilities a bit old and tired but functional - right on the banks of the river so always something to look at. we thought the site at Sankt Goar was better but too far to walk to town in the rain.
GauAlgesheim stellplatz €7.5 pay and display or someone comes asking. lots of big german rigs here. pleasant town close by for a wander but not much to see.
Kirchzell asci site looked so rundown we did not bother staying.
Miltenberg uneven carpark(free) outside yatchclub next to river jumbo ramps required. Worth the walk over the bridge into the town.
Weikersheim asci site very well maintained.
Detwang - Rothenburg o.d. Tauber commercial site €23 clean and functional. great walk up to the town but a very steep climb for the last few hundred yds. Tourist heaven if u like that sort of thing but still a lot of interesting things to see.
Nordlingen carpark stellplatz €3 the fair was in town just across from the carpark so after taking a tour of the city walls(excellent) we moved on.
Harburg castle car park (free) secluded parking no services very peaceful just 2 van.
Landsburg am Lech stellplatz dedicated area in carpark €2 spent more on trying to get water out of the bourn - ok for an overnight - town is worth a roam around. had a very good pizza from an authentic italian place.
