Hi Martin Welcome to Fun, to know how to help with the awning it would be helpful to know what model van you have wether you want a stand alone one or fixed. It's worth mention in you get 5 free posts then you would need to subscribe £15 per year. For that you can get unlimited questions on everything to do with your motorhome, travelling , or anything else. :welcomesign:

From the other thread the OP has started.

Hi am a newbie motorhomer and would like some advice as to what sort of awning would be best for a Lunar Roadstar 726. to fit a fiama 4 metre wind out awning.
Thanks Martin

There has been a lot of discussion on here about this. It might be worthwhile doing a search for "privacy room" but I think you have to subscribe to use the search facility.

The gist of the discussions can probably be summed up as: a small number of folk use them regularly but they are greatly outnumbered by those who thought they needed one - then find they don't after buying one so they put it on eBay. However, if you have a specific requirement say for storing a mobility scooter then they can be useful, but a drive away awning might be a better option for some.
