Hi from another Martin and Dawn!
We've just returned from France and it was hot, really hot, so my tip if you haven't got hab air con is fans, external screens/shades and mosquitoe screens on the windows. Think how you can keep yourselves and the van cool.

Welcome to fun.

Hi and welcome from :france:
The centre of Poitiers is nice and some interesting architecture and restaurants, however it's not particularly MH friendly so better to try and stop outside and bus in if you are interested in the city.
Futuroscope is grat fun and does have a dedicated MH area, sure Will would love it but you may too!!!!

Hi welcome to fun, my tip would be not to rush enjoy each place you come to until you feel it's time to move on, you don't need to try and fit everything in on one go, lots of time each year to explore different places.

Welcome.

We travel with a 6 and 10 year old, so we tend to split our time between aires and campsites with stuff for children like pool, other kids, entertainment etc.

Camping Gavin is a lovely site on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees with beautiful scenery if you decide to go that way.

There are loads of great sites for families on the Costa Brava, although as you are going in school holidays you may want to consider booking. Many of the sites on the coast during that period insist on a minimum of 1 weeks stay, some even only accept arrivals on Saturdays.

Have a great time.
