It's been a long wait for the delivery but today FiFi came into our lives.

All involved are doing well, tho slightly nervous of this new found responsibility.

FiFi weighed in at a health 2700 kilos and already is consuming liquid nourishment at an alarming rate ! Fifi is mostly white (hoorah says UKIP) but was conceived in France (Boo says UKIP).

Yes, you've guessed, FiFi is the Motorhome we've been waiting for. A Chausson Best of Flash 10. Why call it FiFi ? Well the name may not stick, but as it is French and pretty and probably will demand a lot of attention it might be OK. Might be a good excuse to get Sheila into a French Maids outfit to go with the MH. :Eeek:

Tell you what tho, it has the most wonderful smell inside, don't know if it is some sort of "new car smell" on steroids or the polish the dealers used, but wow it's fantastic !!

Anyway, first trip away is this weekend so we'll see how it goes. And with 800Kg (went straight to the weighbridge from the dealers) of weight spare I won't even have to tell Sheila to go easy with the stuff she takes with her.

One amazing co-incidence, we're driving towards home and I put on the radio for the first time and there was Cliff singing "we're all going on a summer holiday". Spooky or what ?

Sure two FiFi's would be OK as long as they don't start hanging out together under street lights, shouting "Hello Sailor, would you like a good time" !

The weight did include an awning and 1/4 tank of water and 1/4 tank of diesel.

Not quite the description most use.

Fifi ?

I thought Newcastle was a rufty tufty hard sort of place with hard drinking footballers and babies drinking Newcastle Brown.

And in the middle a motorhome called FiFi ?

When it breaks down this weekend you'll know why, died of embarrassment.

All this posting of Chausson 10s got me researching and I now find that I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need one very badly indeed :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm green with envy and if I spot a Fifi at a show I'll ask for a guided tour!

The wooden slats in the shower is standard. Made up my own hook-up leads.

We got FiFI from Tynevalleymotorhomes and a nice little touch they presented us (guess they do it for all buyers) with a box containing a good bottle of wine and two crystal glasses for our first night away. And a mountain of instruction books and manuals which we're wading thro now.
