We know the area but have never stayed on this site, in 2017 we are hoping to be there April/May, with the C&CC Winter Rally, and afterwards we have persuaded our Son and DiL to join us, at the end of May, to stay on site in a "Bungalow", as we only have a 2 berth. We would probably go into a "Bungalow" as well as they have two 3 year olds, a 5 and an 8 eight year old., and the "Bungalows" only hold 5 max

Hoping to stay with them on site for 7 days, with no car. How extensive is the supermarket? Read about the indoor and outdoor pools, what else is there for kids of this age to do? Is there a decent playground and does the site put on any entertainment/activities, outside of the rally

The site is big. (In the middle of nowhere.)

The supermarket was small.

I was told that the health centre/gym thingy was great... not that I was interested of course.

You will find a lot of us have been.. There was a Fun rally of 30+ vans back in 2012 when it first opened and many have been back since...
Kids ??? Would not be my choice of location unless they want the pool all day and then check that it's included as depending what deal you get it can cost for daily access. Unsure if outdoor pool will be open at that time. Unsure on playgrounds as never took our grandkids so didn't look.

The on site supermarket is not that big, more a shop... Local town is walkable as we did it many times but it's a choice of a main road or longer back roads, all with no paths..
Car hire used to be available on site and quiet cheap. Taxis available.

Benidorm :) is only an hour away, why not relocate there.. A lot more choice and things for the kids..

It's a very high quality site in the wrong place. Without transport you are stuffed, there's nothing exciting within walking distance.

It was great for the very cheap rally Jim organised when it first opened, loads of FUNsters. We stopped for a couple of nights in April and left after one. Saw the Brit encampment right at the top of the site, that's about 2 miles from reception/pools.

You can do much much better.

We are not committed (perhaps should be) and are open to other/better suggestions (y)

Please bear in mind that Alicante does offer us a reasonable choice of flights from the North East
