    Hi All,

New to forum - currently have 2 x 100 Baird panels to fit to MH, cannot find an MPPT charge controller with dual output at a sensible price - am I missing something?

Has anyone fitted a switch to manually select between starter and leisure batteries? If so any suggestions on switch to use?

You could connect the output of the solar controller to the leisure batteries and also instal a 'battery master' to trickle charge the engine start battery. I think you will find that many Funsters have done this :)

Fit a battery master....no chance of forgetting to switch back to hab battery.
It senses your engine and leisure battery voltages and diverts solar or mains charger current to your engine battery when it needs it at a safe 1.1amp.

Assuming your motorhome is the Hymer in your avatar you would do well to use the Schaudt LRM 1218 MPPT reg which will work in conjunction with your Elektroblok and from there will charge both leisure and engine batteries.

It hasn't registered significantly in my memory so I have to assume it was a case of "nothing to see here"

Is it essential I use a schaudt regulator for my Electroblok? I see it charges both leisure and starter ..

Not essential but recommended and it does simplify the installation and solve the dual battery charging requirement.
