We're going to Moreton in Marsh from Durham and looking for a one night stopover somewhere near Mansfield preferably with a village or pub within walking distance? Any recommendations please

Mansfield

Not quite Mansfield but not far away, the CCC site at Teversal. Pub around the corner called the Canarvon Arms. Also a Crown Carvery nearby, but possibly to far to walk, I can't just recall.

There is now a motorhome stop over site next to the Dog and Duck with hard standing and electric hook up, it`s not far from the A614 and Centerparcs Edwinstowe:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: Btw D&D do nice food

Stop over near Mansfield

I agree with Rapide; we have stayed many times at the exceptionally well run Teversal site and with underfloor heating plus showers which start when you step under them (all in individual rooms) the facilities are second to none. The pub, which provides good food (bar meals or restaurant) is only 300 yards down the road. Hard wick Hall is a couple of miles away, and has another great pub at its gate.
