Malaig to Sky ferry (1 Viewer)

Good afternoon all

Just a quick question

Does anyone know, when taking the above ferry, do you get tickets before boarding or whilst on board?

It must be easier this way than driving all the way around (again)

Did mine online on way there, I'm sure you could pay on board or nearby ticket office.
I wanted to be sure of space !

You buy tickets from the office before you board

Before you board, either phone, on line or at any Calmac office.

we have had to wait at the terminal both ways as no room on ferry as we arrived, not good on the Skye side as very little parking

definitely worth advance phone or on line booking I would say, although Mallaig is a nice place to wile away a few hours if you do have to wait

done it from armadale on skye to mallaig.. got the tickets in the office, and then discovered id locked myself out of the van , missed the ferry eventually got a window removed and got in... caught the next ferry
