Luckily my Discovery has stainless side protection tubes so I can use it as a ladder stay while I clean the roof. (y)

I thought for a moment you'd parked like the elderly gentleman who pulled in behind my car a couple of weeks ago. First he reversed into the car behind his, and while he was looking for damage I got my dogs ramp out to let them out. He got back in his car, shot forward and the bottom of the ramp was under his car. Fortunately the dogs don't move until told so they were still safely in the car...

Great way to clean your motorhome.

That's a brilliant idea that I hadn't thought of. Sparky brother in law's van has side rails, I cleaned my roof this weekend, but just couldn't get to the very top of the hump. While he's off at the pub this weekend, i'll use his van :)

Just remember the shallower the angle the more pressure on the panel you have the ladder rested on. I shudder if I'm honest at putting a ladder against any panel on a MH no matter how strong it looks or how light the load.

When it goes wrong repairs are an absolute nightmare.

Who has a ladder fixed to the front ?
I have one on the back
There is a good reason for that.
The front bulge your ladder is leaning on is about as strong as the plastic windows. The handbook will probably mention the fact that under no circumstances should you walk on it as it is not built like the flat roof panel.
If you damage it it will cost a fortune to put right.
