I have noticed that my garage door is sqeaking when lifting with gas struts . What do i use to spray on the struts and do i use the same stuff for the hinges eg. (wd 40) or with (ptfe).
I seem to remember someone saying one was not good to spray on the struts but i cant remember which

Are you sure its the struts and not the hinges thats squeaking?
If it the strusts its best to use a natural lubricant such as a wipe over with olive oil.

Hinges can be lubed with WD40 or silicon spray but watch overspray with silicon.
