In your opinion! if you bought an LPG adapter on ebay that was clearly pictured as BRASS but the seller sent you an aluminium one, how would you react?

That would cost me time and money that was not part of the purchase agreement.

Send it back with a request for the right item plus your personal out of pocket expenses by return of post.

Yes brass is brass and a long time player in gas fittings.
Seller says aircraft grade and lighter saves them postage cost. SO WHY NOT picture the item they are selling FFS?
Aircraft grade being in evidence like how?

so either you send it back and charge them the postage complain on ebay or put up with it.
or ask for a return of 50%of the cost as its not what you ordered.

I've given them negative feedback as they were so nonchalant about it and bought a brass one from Gasit for £7.20 delivered.

Sorry but that is not good enough. Finding packaging and going to a post office is far more expensive in terms of my time than the cost of postage.
IMHO if a seller is selling something it should be exactly as they picture it. Had they sent me a 1 carat diamond I might make an exception (y)

Open a case with ebay if you're not happy with their response.

I have a long standing good experience of ebay and my own feedback as mainly a buyer is 950.
I do expect sellers to be accurate and honest. I rarely give negative feedback but this just asked for it

After giving them the chance to exchange or refund and being ignored you should have started an ebay claim.....as the part was not as described your complaint would have been upheld and a black mark on their ebay record.
Unless of course, the listing stated aluminium.

This looks like one of those eBay sellers that really annoy me. The detail and length of their "terms and conditions" is of more consequence to them than bothering to describe fully the item they are selling.
