Hi,

We stayed here this weekend and I think that it's one of the nicest sites we've ever stayed on, quiet, no kids, lovely scenery, lovely wardens, at what we think is a good price as well.::bigsmile:

I stayed there a couple of years ago. It has the best dog walk ever which includes a shallow stretch of the river Exe!

There are numerous good walks from the site as well, and for a few pennies you can have a print off of the directions which were amazingly precise!

Only downside is that there is nothing within easy reach apart from one pub. ::bigsmile:

A Woosh bang
"Adults only. Because of the danger from [HI]rivers on all sides[/HI] we do not accommodate children."

what a feeble excuse.. and how can there be 'rivers on[HI] all sides[/HI]' ?

Google map shows a river running down ONE side with the A396 on the other

if they want to ban kids ... just say so...

Kids are the lifeblood of our hobby.. the campers of the future..

It does look a lovely site .. shame they banned kids..

You should always keep your waste tank taps closed on site. :ROFLMAO:

It has the river one side and a quite fast running leat for the mill on the other side, the only bit that doesn't have water is the entrance. I think they just want to be safe

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
That tortoise in your photo (to the right of the picnic bench) has hellishly long legs - I don't believe I've ever seen one that tall before !
