I got this email earlier today. Anyone any ideas who this Funster is?

Message Body:
Hello is it possible for you to contact one of your members who is currently touring in Spain, we understand he has lost his Passport and a considerable amount of money.
He did overnight at WWW.areaautocaravanas.com at Los Dolores, tel nr 662 326 412 and Theresa in reception here has information on the whereabouts of the Passport/money etc and she has been trying all avenues to try and contact him.

His name is Alexander Black DOB xxxxxx 1947 Passport nr xxxxx4319, this information was taken from a photocopy of his passport when he booked into the site, and the only other info we have is that he is a member of your club.

If you do have contact details of him and can pass on this info I am sure he will be very happy.
Many thanks
Bill Simms
Don't know who you are Bill Simms but thanks for taking the time to try and identify this Funster.

I wonder how the kind Mr Bill Simms knew Alex was a Funster. Multiple choice
  1. Alex had a Fun flag
  2. He had Fun stickers on his van
  3. Bored his neighbours to death about how fantastic motorhomefun was
  4. He kept people up to the early hours asking who "Alice" was

Well, as he hasn't been on the forum since the 18th Jan, I'm putting my money on something else! :D2

Hope he reads his email - at least as he used his real name it's likely to be a real email address too.

Changing the subject slightly but whilst we don't all use our real names on the forum don't we all join using real names?

I did, I signed up using my real name Hugh Jorgan. Well, the girls seem to like it ;)

A few years ago my email account was hacked and all my contacts sent a message from "me" saying I was stuck up the Limpopo or somewhere like that and asked if anyone could send me some money.
The most depressing thing is they all unanimously decided I should stay there. :)

Yes that's a popular scam , that's what I thought this was going to be , but seems legit this time.
