Has anyone ever needed to retension a fiat long arm door mirror. Mine has started to fold in when driving into a strong headwind.

Well I took mine apart after a slight mishap with a wall that moved:unsure:...but I did fix it using steel tubing, bonding agent..I cant see that you can tighten it, as its fixed is a type of clutch system (poor zink metal) which it allows the arm move when taking minor knocks but if a the Fiat workshop manual says you can ......pray enlighten us:)

At the bottom under the hinged part there appears to be a 'D' shaped cover which I hoped would give me access to adjust the tension, but I can't seem to get the cover off without doing some damage. Sounds like I'll have to try the dealer. Don't know if they will be happy to give free advice, but I'll pass on any info I get.
