    Very good. Still shows the house across the road rather than ours though - Google inaccuracy rules :BigGrin:

    I am lost here. I don't get it sorry.

    I just go to maps.google.co.uk
    type in the postcode
    then drag the little man to the point I want to see.

    Why is this better?:Doh::Rofl1:

    Brilliant. We've been redone since I last looked, though it still shows Shirley's old car so at least six months old.

    It's faster - it starts finding the location while I'm still typing in the postcode. All done via the keyboard.

    Not sure I like the fact it knows exactly which house I'm in, when the postcode should only get down to street level. Luck...or is it using my wi-fi to locate me? I didn't think I'd switched that option on.

    Well they have updated the photo certainly - old one showed none of our vehicles and was pre 2009 since the motorhome couldn't be absent at the same time as both the cars - but latest, we were on hols as only the cars are there and not the M/H. Plus as you say at least 6 months, as we've had some work done at the front since then and it doesn't show that.

    Thinking about it, ours must have been taken in the last 12 months because Pete's MGF is there and that was bought November 2011.

    On normal Google, we couldn't get a really good view of ours because of the camera angle. So we stopped looking after the initial novelty wore off ! On this one it's there full frontal, warts n all. Esp the warts .....

    Thank you for this- it is faster the picture is bigger and clearer and I will have hours of fun --if I could get Ray off of it and going back to our old houses and where we were brought up.

    Starts off at the wrong end of the road, find house which was re-roofed 3 years ago, new gate and new fencing and driveway enlarged 2 years ago, none of this in pic, looks as it was when we bought it 5 years ago.

    If you look at the Street View image in Google Maps it gives the date it was taken at the bottom left. In our case it was June 2009.

    Moving along and there is woman standing out the front of the house !!

    Picture is about 4 years old though as the garage block has been removed and all new houses are there now

    Put my campsite postcode in and it shows a house some way from mine. No good for someone looking for my site as they would never find it !:Eek!:

    Much longer than that. Our motorhome has had a gas tank filler on the nearside rear for a couple of years or so - it's not showing on the picture for our address.
    But then we're in a sleepy Devon village that has locals who still think they live in the dark ages. :RollEyes: :Wink:
