Hi everyone

We have been members of the forum for a long time now but have only just subscribed.

In the past we have had a campervan (a long time ago) tents, folding camper and more recently two caravans.

We were always going to buy a motorhome when I retire in two years time but we have taken the plunge early instead and picked up our new motorhome last Wednesday.

We are going away on Thursday to Keswick to get used to it and to find any snags.

We are so excited and amazed that we have finally made the move. I will be glad that I won’t be researching routes to death because of towing a big unit.

We will miss the space of the caravan and the convenience of having the car to run around in but look forward to be able to go anywhere a white van can.

Hi and welcome to the best site on the web. MoHo's are very different to a caravan and we chose one because we like to tour rather than stay in one place for weeks at a time so much easier now.

Thanks for the welcome folks. As soon as I retire the idea is to go touring the continent hence the main reason for the change plus I am starting to dislike towing. Puddleduck I love Keswick and go there at least once a year. It is actually an ideal motorhome site.

Hi, we go to Keswick 6/7 times a year. It's lovely. we made the leap from caravans last September as fed up towing and neVer looked back. You'll love the freedom. We've got the same dream as you, retire in 2 years and catch the ferry to Calais and then travel for as long as it takes

We use the camping and caravanning club site. The location is absolutely perfect being at the bottom of town beside the lake.You can also go all or no facilities.
Thanks again for the warm welcome. As you can probably guess the avatar was a few years ago.
