Seems that the new mayors wants to bring this in earlier AND extend it to the whole zone area, He didn't say that to the people who voted him in last week. They will all be losing their cars and motorbike with that one. All vehicle using the zone HAVE to be Euro 6 compliant at minimum. Motorcycle included, non compliance equals ban.

lets see what happens when food, parcels etc can't be delivered because of it.

the city relies on motorcycle deliveries.

Might affect busses, ambulances, taxis, all part of the infrastructure.

Heard an interview a couple of days ago and someone representing Heathrow was advocating the expansion of the ULEZ to the M25 and M4. He blamed the vehicle traffic for the airport not meeting it anti pollution targets.

    Sounds about right.....
Paying a fee to the council coffers automatically cleans up the air.

While I agree with aims of this policy, (cleaner air) paying a fine simply penalises ordinary people, to the rich, and London has many very rich people, it means nothing.

    Same tune, different words.
Cut the traffic by raising the cost of entry / parking etc.
In effect that will keep the peasants out and make it a bit MORE "elitist" and by definition, a more desirable place for the rich to live and play....
    Yes I AM jaded !!!
I'm 69 and seen this sort of thing happening all my life !!!
    Bitter ???
No... It would just be a waste of energy..
    Have a nice Sunday folks.
    Mitch.

Now this is one that does not worry me at all, I have done the necessary buisness trips to the horrid place so no intentions of going in my own time now that I am retired

Some ares inside the M25 are not under the Mayors jurisdiction so that will be a non starter. I'm sure these false rumors will continue for some time yet..(y)
