should the vehicle log book say if it's a motorhome or just the van make ?

If it doesnt it could be a home conversion.

I assume its the van in your avatar ?

Home conversion looking at it as its very plain for a professional converter....no graphics, tv aerial etc.

provided your van fits the criteria you can get it changed to motorhome basicly you need a bed cooker tablesink and some storage
you will have to get the appropriate form and send pictures takeone to show the interior and the numberplate in one shot

Not the van in picture , that was a conversion I done my self . The one I'm asking about is aFiat Ducatuo van with a Hymer body and its factory built , just wondering why log book say Ducatuo van

That will be down to the original registering dealer.
Needs changing with DVSA.
Easy enough, change it on the V5 and send it and a cover letter with a few pics of the inside and outside inc reg number and a pic of the VIN plate.
Some dealers are pretty clueless or lax when it comes to registering.
Some american RVs weighing in excess of 10 tons are wrongly registered as 3500kg due to dealer incompetence.
