going to Italy next weekend for three weeks ,holidays are comeing, holidays are comeing.
Anyway is a copy of v5 good enough for Swiss borders. Or do thay require the original.

You must take the original with you. I can see no reason for not doing this. Contrary to some peoples beliefs the V5C is not proof of ownership, merely a statement of the registered keeper.

French and others demand the original, a good full colour photocopy on A3 paper folded and printed both side, will pass muster with most federalies as they have never really seen one before.
Worked ok for me in Maroc. Kept the real one safe hidden in the vehicle just in case,but needn't have worried as he gave it back with my speeding fine which was quietly sorted with a small cash payment without receipt.
