I lost my water cap last year and bought another..........obviously different key but exactly the same style of key and cap

The cap fits well and screws in tight but the small central lock doesnt seem to be doing anything at all.......untighten it firmly anti clockwise in any position and it comes out.

Not a major problem.........its sitting in there ok quite firm....but is there a special knack to locking these ?

thanks

It may be that you have to buy the full unit and not just the cap.

Hi Barry, I had trouble locking my water cap, and was about to get a new one. :winky: But our dear friend Dane ( Diabalo ) on here said drop it in hot water for 10 minutes and it will be OK.
Well that was few months ago and it still locks. :thumb: Bob.

PS We have moved on to pitch 89 in full sunshine.:winky: :ROFLMAO:

Locking water caps in general are rubbish!
Three vans, different makes, three useless caps!!!

The hot water is a good tip which we have known to work!:thumb:

They all do that Sir.

Eventually after much squirting with WD40, prising it open a bit to do it, ours works most of the time.

Try it in your hand, if you grip the inner hard enough you may get it to spin.
