    Hi

We are on an aire in Sete and are locked in. Last night there must have been 150 motorhomes here, very nice, baker and newsagent came round this morning.

We went out for the day with some friends and when we come back a barrier had been put up.

When we got to our m/home we had a note put on the windscreen saying they will open at 9 am from local police. So whether we get out or not who really cares the wine is superb. :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

We were at Mimizan Aire this June or July with Taran Las and had a similar thing happen, we watched as police tape was placed around the entry barrier and pay machine so no one could enter... the aire was nearly empty but recall we could leave if needed stayed the same the next day too .. no idea why ..odd

Well all well that ends well. Mr policeman came back this morning and unlocked the barrier, he was very pleasant.

We then went into Sete on the way back through where we were locked in around 80 gypsies had arrived and broke the barrier to get in. Three or four police cars and a tow truck, thank goodness they didn't arrive yesterday or we would have been among them!! Or van up on bricks and all wheels gone. Lol

As for the wine we have found a very good cooperative here.

why can't it be like that here....straight in, no questions, tow them out.
in this country they would be applying to the courts for an eviction order then figuring out how to enforce it.

There's your explanation then - obviously had a tip-off they were on their way and wouldn't want any of the innocent-looking comping caristes tipping the ne'er do wells off.

Wouldn't tell you, because I bet they have a good idea where they'll go next and the polis there need time to get their act in gear!
