Just bought an Eriba FT 580
Our niece has just bought a house in St Laurs, about 75 miles east of you. Lovely part of the country. We don't know that particular model of Eriba but they do seem to be very popular in France. Happy touring!

It is not bad at all around these parts :)

The Eribas do seem reasonably numerous but can I find online user manuals etc? Not for love nor money - well possibly for money but I'm tight.

I have found online manuals for the heating, toilet etc but not the van as a whole. Got the 2.8 JTD elearning manual downloaded - just need to go get a blank CD for it.

The Google jingley thing today leads to a wikipaedia page:
"Willem Einthoven was a Dutch doctor and physiologist. He invented the first practical electrocardiogram in 1895 and received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1924 for it."
They don't rush to give 'em out do they? - must be motorhomers :D

At the risk of sounding just a bit cynical ..... running a 3 guest room Chambre d'hôtes would never be enough to live on but as a top up it's nice to have assuming the main living costs are covered by other work, pensions etc. We see so many come and go who think that they will be financially stable and soon realise otherwise. You only have to watch the new life in the sun programme , when they revisit the participants. The bars and restaurants tend to do ok but the Gites and BnBs are gone after a year or two. We also see many spare room operators who only do it to get into the system for their Carte Vitale. They will fall by the wayside as the B word happens (currently there is no minimum income requirement, after B there will be. Bye bye airbnb types).

The other thing that tends to be forgotten is the amount of effort involved. We might be flipping rooms several times a week and it's a lot of work.

We have a niche though, we are in the France Tourist Board Acceuil Velo scheme and specialise in cyclists. As the St Malo to Nice route and the Euro Velo 3 literally pass our front door we are probably here to stay :)
Sorry to hijack the thread, but, SwissBob, I am just starting using my motorhome for my long distance bike riding. Could you send me any details about the trails available.

Is it worth contacting the manufacturer direct? Here's a link: -

Or you could start a new thread titled
"Does anyone have a manual for a 2002 Eriba FT 580 motorhome".

The files are available here. You need a Fiat Forum account to download.

Once downloaded they have to be extracted using a gizmo of your choice - search the interweb for "rar extractor". The result will be a single .iso file. This has to be burned to a CD. Then run the setup.exe from the CD on a Windows pc.
