Tomtom have a live traffic map, undated every two minutes.

May be handy when travelling!

Garmin do better with updates every 60 seconds.

However, I've just bought a new TomTom to replace my 6 year-old Garmin to live in my to-be-collected RMB. After using one recently in a hired Hymer, I'm a new convert to them.

I use Garmin myself - only gripe with it was the free updates for life......only they want you to pay for them. I wouldn't mind, it isn't the price - but the way they promise them free for life, and then want a subscription which I find deceitful.

I used to use Tomtom - they are more user friendly than Garmin, and grew in popularity because of that (early garmins were awful - accurate, but awful!) Newer ones like the one I have now are ok!
