Looks on the short side and a bit difficult to store.

Nice to see an alternative way of tackling the problem though.

Looks great, no problem with length as you can couple them together and I don't see why they wouldn't produce them in different lengths.
Got to be better than carrying over 5kg of locks around like we do at the moment.

Price not too bad either, £80 each or £155 for 2, hopefully will reduce once they start selling a few.

Looks interesting, the only thing I worry about these days with bike locks is their resistance to cordless angle grinders, never saw one used in the vid, maybe a layer of ballistic nylon as used in chainsaw pants would see off that threat ?

Looks like a great bit of kit, the lack of weight must be good for payload. Bit pricy for me just yet but I do like it.

depends on the value of your bike..

rule of thumb.. spend at least 10% of the value of your bike on security ..

high end e bike costing £2.5k .. £80 is cheap for a lock

low cost bike at £100 ... cheap lock does... as no one will nick it ..

looks good.. and as Lenny said.. if it saves carrying a ton of chain around it would be GVFM

Yes I agree! I have an "ugly Ebike" so it would be worth it or perhaps not no one will nick it anyway!!:cycle:Ps hope your appointment goes ok this week.

If you have an expensive bike you would be a bit of a plonker to leave it in a place where someone attacking it with an angle grinder wouldn't draw attention.
Any lock or alarm is only a deterrent if they really want it they will get it.

We locked Val's Kalkhoff up on a street in Bowness on Windermere last year with an expensive braided steel cable type lock when we were out for an evening meal. When we came to unlock it, the key would turn, but it wouldn't unlock. We had to leave the bike overnight and go for it the next morning armed with the contents of the man drawer. Tried WD40 and the spare key but I had to cut the plastic sheathing off then nibble through each strand of cable, one at a time. Took me over twenty minutes to get through it and not once did anyone question our motives :(
