Hi we have just got an awning and we think we may need a light for it. Any ideas welcome, we saw the Outwell collapsible LED lamp, but it's a bit on the small side, and only works with EHU.
What do other people use?

This Outwell lamp is battery powered

You could use rechargeable batteries in it.

Some led lights are very bright and can light up your awning like a power station! We have a nice soft 12 volt camping light but rarely use it as when in a warm enough location to sit outside at night, there are also the accompanying mozzies and flies. The 12v light has to be plugged in to inside socket which requires the door or window to be open.
Where possible I just have a nightlight candle in a couple of little lanterns and then use a battery powered lantern for extra light as required.

make your own 12V LED lamp system
You need only a little equipment and
5M 300 LED Strip Light 3528 5050 5630 SMD 12V LED Flexible Light Waterproof (Link Removed)

this gives you a twin strip of bright lights 2.5m long and if you pick SMD 3528 LEDS it's 4.8W per metre and there are two light temperatures of Warm White2500~6500K / White6000~6500K well worth it will be making one for our awning very soon as we used the first lot inside

Oh yes it's £6.99 for 5 metres of waterproof (IP65) LED self adhesive strip

I used the same type to replace the 5 halogen lamps in the outside awning light on the Rapido, far more "bright" and far less Power consumption!.

I also have a Pressure Paraffin Coleman lantern!!. But I think you need a licence from HSE (elf and safety) nowadays dont you?.

Do these just connect to any 12v supply?

not long enough
when you say awning do you mean the wind out bit or something that then hangs from it?

we have just ordered a replacement omnistore wind out, that now comes with an option for fitted full length light

look out for us at Chester, either illuminating everything or heading for the divorce courts (we also bought the full room addition) I must really love Bev :) should be good for a laugh anyway (y)
