Will message you @jnn after Christmas if you don't mind to talk to you about rebooting or removing hard drive if that ok ?
Thanks everyone
Hmm, seems a shame to isolate some members of your community..bit of an us and them thing going on.
Oh well, us scummy pond life normal members will just have to have a non moving avatar. How will we cope ?

Tell you what, to avoid that lawsuit. While animated avatars are available. Any non life member who desperately wants an animated avatar and who donates a Tenner to this page can have one
If you are using Micro Soft Edge browser,I have now found a way to turn the annoying animated avatars off - albeit only temporarily. All you have to do is click on the page with the animation on and then press the Escape key. It will stop those pesky smiley things that jump about (I suppose they are laughing). When you go to another page you have to repeat the process, but until @Jim comes up with a way to turn them off permanently it will have to do.
Please work on it Jim.

Jock glad to see your back injections have worked judging by your moving avatar!!!As Baloo said to Bagheera (in Jungle Book), "Come on Baggy, get with the beat."
Obviously, if these animated Avatars are causing you problems, it would be a good option to be able to isolate them, or turn them off.
Cheers,
Jock.

We had that Avatar for years, (here and elsewhere) but we both gave up the evil weed, however, a certain individual expressed their preference for our smoking Avatar, once they became animated again, so here we are..............portraying a blooming major fire risk. ........................
Cheers,
Jock.

This article describes ways to stop gif animations if they are giving anyone a headache. I haven't tried any of the suggestions so I'm not sure if they work.
