Life after Todmorden (1 Viewer)

Wow we are near to Argen in the Gascony region of France and we woke up to the view of a free fishing lake that is stuffed full of big, big carp.

By lunch time it was just over 30 degrees and Lynda had all her washing dry outside something she never remembers achieving in soggie Todmorden

Lilly has been for a swim in crystal clear water just chasing the carp to the opposite end to me but who cares.

There is not a single person anywhere within sight and the damsel flies and butterflies are out in the hundreds, the only sound is the odd bee and the croaking frogs

We are all very happy bunnies and missing Tod. like a very sore thumb or two or more.

That looks wonderful.

You paint a wonderful picture of fishing and domestic chores. There is something really satisfying about drying the washing when away in Motorhome - relaxing as well.

We are from Oakworth originally so not far from Todmorden we've moved up to Scotland so kept the rain!!!!

Sorry was trying to keep it a secret

It is actually a Dutch owned ASCI site that stays open until the end of the month, it costs 12 euros a night with the asci card and has free wifi point and free fishing and canoes at this time of the year.

It is so quiet at present with just us and two other Dutch couples on but I can imagine it thronging in the high season.

The coordinates are N44- 16.20 E o--53.17 and it is No 1258 in the Asci 2012 book

The final piccie just to annoy Graham is the sunset from our van door last night
