Google West Harris Trust for a list of their approved wild camping spots
Best of all is Luskintyre Beach - with fresh water and WC close by
Avoid Flobaday Farm Campsite - it's a scam

You may also find this useful

Pm me if you need co ordinates for any of the places we stayed

Enjoy your trip

We also spent a couple of nights in the distillery car park in Tarbert (good for mobile internet reception). You won't have any problems finding suitable places, both free and for a nominal honesty charge to the trusts on either Lewis or Harris. Also the ferry terminal and restaurant at Leverburgh.
This was a really pleasant family run campsite on the west coast of Lewis, even with TV connections on some of the plots. http://www.eileanfraoich.co.uk/
And this one was in a superb location and cheap, run by the local community

Have a great time. The Western Isles is one of our all time best trips - but the weather we had this Spring was really the icing on the cake.
