What is the best make of leisure battery to purchase ?

How much are you planning to use your motorhome?

How much of this time will be off hook up?

If you are not planning on using it too much or you are reckoning to spend most of your parked up time in campsites with hookup I would suggest an ordinary leisure battery... Franks Caravans have them at shows at £90 for a multi-cell 120 amp horr battery.

I am not totally convinced by the vast range of "super duper" batteries on offer. Does their performance really justify the much higher prices?

I use cheap and cheerful ones and when they stop working I buy some more... £150 bought me 3, 110's nearly two years ago (I use them full-time) and I handed them back as under performing (two months left on guarantee) last week and got £80 refund. I reckon £70 for my electric bill over nearly two years is acceptable. (I have solar panels to charge them and am very rarely on hook up)
