Heard an alarm going outside my house yesterday in the early hours which sounded like a smoke alarm. Looked out of the bedroom window, saw the car and motorhome parked on drive both looked okay, back to bed. Got up in the morning she who must be obayed says get outside and find out what that noise is. On investigation......Bloody 'ell! its coming from inside our motorhome. Not smoke alarm but Carbon Monoxide alarm. We were connected to mains hookup as intended to go away this weekend. Anyway, you could smell battery immediatly cooking. So out with rather hot battery, checked charging voltage all okay. Further check on battery showed it was 7 years old. So a new one this weekend.
