Mrs.'Short-hice' is complaining that it's a struggle (physical, not mental) getting up into the drop-down bed... My offer of putting some knots in a length of rope didn't meet with 100% approval so it seems we're looking for a ladder. Only needs to be about 1m20/1m30 long and preferably aluminium (weight) and not too bulky. Been scouring ebay and the like for ages - hen's teeth spring to mind

Use a cheapish aluminium step ladder, probably 3, 4 or 5 steps.......you could use them folded to reach the bed and then you have a ladder on board for other uses. Otherwise split them apart and just use the front part for the bed access.......sorted:thumb:

That's the sort of thing! Ideal. Though as you say not cheap! I'll show her - she'll probably decide she can manage as she has been for the last year - with a bit of luck!

True ... the thought did cross my mind. Split would be best then it could be stowed on the bed when it's put back up. Complete one would be a bit too 'fat' on top of the bedding ... :thumb:

Ours came fitted but I do have problems with it.

No problems going up but coming down I sometimes get my boxers caught on the ladder. The result is a big wedgie:Sad:
