Hi. Our motorhome (Compass Avantgarde 400) has a leak, presumably in the pipe work to the tap at the kitchen sink as water appears on the floor by the door step very soon after using the tap.
Can anyone tell me how to get to the pipe work to effect a repair?? I presume the fridge will have to come out but as i am new to motorhoming aren't sure if the wiring & gas pipe to the fridge will be disturbed or damaged by pulling the fridge forward??
Cheers, Dreamlet :Wacko::Wacko:

If its only after using the tap I would start at the tap connection under the sink
You would be ill advised to move the fridge unless absoluty nec, and then follow up with a gas leak test

Cut the seal away from the sink, 4 screws...one has a bolt the other end which has an earth lead attached! You will have to swing it sideways and remove the tiny bolt.

Once that is done, you can access and replace the tap. You may have tails or not - long metal brass 'tails' that go from the push fits and screw into the base of the tap.

I tried replacing these, but to no avail - had to replace the tap! (£65).

Large nut clamps the tap to the work surface, undo pull up and away - don't break the tails, you will be needing them!

Next bone of contention once all replaced is the sink seal.....you will have a job finding one! Check you dealers first - however, you CAN get away with semi-rigid bath type sealing strip and no one will know!...well except you of course:ROFLMAO:

(If you take the fridge out, you will need a gas inspection after- or take your chances!) Sink is easier...and no bending!

if it only leaks AFTER using the tap, i'd suspect the sink waste....not the tap.

if it was the tap/pipes i would expect it to leak all the time....unless you have microswitch type taps.

Now a year - cant believe it!
Weve the same 400, and the taps are on micro-switches. Im wondering if you can see the tap base/tails by removing the cutlery draw?
