Well it all depends on what kind of awning track (if any) you have on your van?

I before starting diymotorhoming I had owned 2 thriving/exclusive small caravan sites over in France and saw heaven knows what as awnings/canpoies attached or flapping in the breeze attached/I wish to the motorhomes or conversions they were supposed to be attached to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the glib comment made above, but arguably the best compromise is to have a stand alone gazeebo's such as one of these then if you do use one of these or similar, then you have the advantage of being able to set up what looks like a proper awning with zip in sides and the added advantage that you can leave it in place on a pitch on a caravan site whilst you go hither and thither in your van.

Adam, if you didn't already know, we have just set up the new and FREE so why not come along and join us and be one of those who can share your experiences etc.
