Laptop/internet problems (1 Viewer)

This probably sounds like a odd problem. I have a Toshiba laptop and for the last 2 years have used a 3 dongle to access the internet. Have had the odd problems with both over the years but at the weekend my laptop refused to start/kept sticking on the Windows start up page or flashed up that I needed to run 'Startup repair' continually. It was suggested that Windows could be corrupted but now laptop starts just fine providing the dongle isn't plugged in. Internet is running slow and loses signal though says it's connected. Any suggestions other than dropping it off a high building

I too have had the same problem but not on the same computer.

I removed the 3.co software and rebooted the dongle. it cured it but I don't know what caused it.

If you do the same makes sure the dongle is removed before you start.

Possible related is the software update, it always gives me problems so I dont use it.

I had to uninstall/reinstall it when I came back from Europe. It didn't like not being used for 4 months. Will give it a go :thumb:
