Years ago my parents took us to a campsite named in the subject.

I fear it may be gone now, but thought I would check. It was a lovely rural campsite with lakes. I learnt to waterski there.

I was hoping to now take my kids to it, but my lack of anything showing up on the web makes me think they closed up.

Are there any other campsites with lakes that you can take kayaks on in the Essex / Suffolk area?

Hi
I live just round the corner from the two villages but I don't know of any campsite with kayaking

Have a look at 'song of the paddle ' web site, loads of suggestions there

There is canoeing kayaking in Norfolk , just google
St Neots camping and caravan club have river side access

Mepal have courses but no camping

Hope that helps

I'm answering myself now but my kids are on a kayak course right now at Portsmouth water centre .

What we did was find a centre , safe place, then camp near by

I think I can remember a site there too, about 30 years ago. Not there now though. Looking at the map there are some lakes just off the A10 that look like there could have been a site there at one time - now appears to be a small holiday homes park.
