Here we are parked up in the wonderful ski resort of Meribel. MH outside the hotel which is closed for the season but we have friends in high places (son ha!)

Any way off to lake Annecy for a few days at the weekend as we hear that it is really great.
So, has anyone Ben and can they recommend a good site on the lake please?

    Many thanks.

As you drive along the lakeside towards Annecy there are loads of campsites never used them as we always use the Aire for overnighting to and from skiing but there's no shortage of choice and all in a beautiful location.

As a child we would spend our family holidays on the lake staying at Lac Bleu, maybe 40 years ago, wow , scary , and I guess we went for 10'years . Went back last year , only the entrance had changed.
The cycle route around the lake is amazing, bikes can be hired in Annecy, normal bikes, tandems or even electric.

We have just returned from les rives du lac , sevrier lake annecy. It was immaculate in toilet/ shower facilities and direct access to the lake and direct access to the wacky races cycle track around the lake. However pitches getting boggy due to lots of rain It does have overnight aire facility outside the gate for €8. To be fair there are so many aires along the lake (most not in books/websites) we probably would not bother booking a site again but had older teenagers with us for that part of the hols.
