I have found a lab-craft florescent light fitting melting in our 1998 eldis motorhome. luckily I spotted it before it did any damage to the roof. has any one else had this? what would you replace it with.

Never had any problems with lab-craft lights, had them in vans and caravans for years may be just age, insulation breaking down possibly maybe bulb not seated correctly.

I would have no problem with replacing with same, there are enough of them about, some years old.

Also check that all the wire connections are tight. Loose ones result in overheating and a fire or melting.
