    Hi all

If I flick the Cab/Van switch to CAB whilst hooked up will it charge the engine battery?

I currently (no pun...lol) have it on VAN whilst I am hooked up on site.

    Thanks

    Derek

I have looked at the user manual that came with my Roadstar and incorporates the Newstar. And whilst it says the selected battery is charged in the Roadstar section. It is not mentioned in the Newstar section.

I would assume however that it would be the same for both models but to be sure I would check it with a voltmeter. Does the level indicator meter give any clue if you switch the charger off.

    Regards

If it is... any chance of a copy as I only have a description?

Your voltmeter is your friend and the only sure way of establishing what is going on. The switch might be wired to charge, there's no way of telling if a fuse has gone without measuring.

13V+ your battery is on charge.

The manual I have is the Lunar manual for the Roadstar/Newstar Range. It shows the wiring diagram of the van and describes the functions of the switches. I do not have one specifically for the panel.

If you want copies of the newstar specific pages no problem I can scan and email just PM me with you details.
