I thought only vegetarian bearded social workers bought Citroen 2 CV's, or is that just an unfair stereotype rooted in anti-socialist dogma. Actually ignore this, lets not have a lovely thread about gorgeous cars high jacked into another political thread!:D:whistle:
well I've got a beard, maybe not the type you mean:sneaky:

Funny enough I do have a 2CV Dolly as it was the cheapest on insurance for my daughter to start driving with. She loved it bumbling around Chichester in it. When the winter came we swapped cars and she got the fiat panda and I drove the dolly to work...I suppose dads were brought up on ice on the inside of the windscreen, heater that filled the car with fumes and Windows that hinged open at varying amounts dependant on speed....still got it in the garage as it is slowly undergoing the massive tart up....I love it....

Three years and counting, 30 years a tent tower.
2CVs are brilliant. One of the few cars you can more or less drive flat out and not have to worry about a ticket. :)
Had two of them, great cars, daughters maths teacher calculated they couldn't do more than 60, so had great pleasure passing him at an indicated 80 a few days later (admittedly downhill with a following wind):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Its not the going that concerns me. Have travelled all over Europe buying motorhomes I wanted. Its the driving back 300 miles in the UK with no roof or heater (n).

Having owned a few in the past, my favourite being an NG TA am getting an itch for another kit. I fancy a Pembleton Brooklands or maybe the 3 wheeled version with the Motoguzzi engine. The JSR trike is nice but seems to be fetching silly money, so thats out of the question. Any other kit car aficionados on fun ?.
