Hi I havent wild camped but went there before we had Mh with the caravan to the cc site what i would say its a very quiet place and if memory is right there was a few places you could park up. There's a big car park over the dam not sure if it has any signs as i wasnt looking for them back then lol. Had a couple of pubs in the middle of no where so i would thing they would welcome your trade for use of their car park.

Its a lovely place hope someone else gives you more help but if i was thinking of going i would wild camp as im sure no one would see you.

It is a small Forestry Commission car park way off the main road and overlooking the marina. We stayed there for days a few years ago. The only people we saw were a few walkers plus the boaters across the water. You can service the van at the toilets near the visitor centre to the East.

PS - don't forget the midge repellent if in the summer time.

When went up there last year the Forestry Commission were locking all the car parks up at night.
