Have a good one Ralph, its been an age since I was there. There are great walks to be had on Skiddaw which seems to be largely ignored by the masses. The ascent from Keswick is a delight, its about 5 miles with a climb of a tad under 3000 feet, but its a gentle mountain with good slopes and little crag, the fourth highest and the oldest mountain in the area it offers some excellent views from the summit, but maybe not this weekend::bigsmile:

Just had a look at the BBC weather web site Ralph and Keswick looks like it will be a little bit wetter and windier than Teesside.

Best stay off them tops - good excuse to pop down the pub ::bigsmile:

The weather wasn't quite as bad as predicted and we had a marvellous time, also did three days in York the same week.
