Good afternoon from a chilly and very windy Kent Showground at Detling.
We have been allocated pitches in the same location as last year.
Look for the Clive Emerson Conference Centre, we are pitched next to it.
The ground is damp on top, but firm beneath.
Toilets, showers, water and Elsan facilities are all close by.
It appears that the entrance to the show will be from the slip road on the A249 this year
. Safe journey to all those attending.

We have not been given a very good map. But it does say the entrance being used is the Main Gate.

Well, first ever rally.. All good so far. Great value for 45 quid. I would have paid that just for the cabaret that was laid on. Be nice if the weather turns pleasant tomorrow to have a glass of wine sitting outside our m/h.

'twas a lovely atmosphere especially when the sun came out, friendly faces from last year to meet up with again and a few new ones too..

would like to add heartfelt thanks to those who helped this ageing old dryad out when needed, it really was very, very much appreciated, thank you one and all..

and just a note for the record, that dreaded pop up tent for my little scooter is no more, it finally suffered flexipolesnappage and expired with a painless death sigh, no doubt also to the relief of all those who tried the conundrum of twistandfoldshennanigans..
what to do now though, do i find another or is there a better and maybe simpler solution to keep the scooter safe and dry overnight?
answers on a postcard please..

Just to say a big thanks for everyone who attended the Detling show, sometimes the small meetings is a good starting point and a lot easier to mix, when going to the much larger meet you have already met someone Funsters and have some idea how it all works.

It was a small show but with some very nice funsters if the wind dropped it would have been a lot warmer, good to meet all who attended
