I am off to Bilboa next week on Brittany Ferries. How to people get on for keeping items in the freezer frozen. I am not allowed to use gas so does the food stay frozen for 26 hours?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Pack the freezing compartment as full as possible and do not open it until the electric supply has been reinstated. It is surprising how the temperature will stay well below zero and keep frozen food frozen.
Do not risk it though with food which could cause e-coli etc. such as chicken or pork.

freeze a couple of freezer blocks or failing that bottles of water/milk and place them in the fridge when you set off. will keep the fridge cold for a couple of days if you dont open the door

First up I would switch to Santander as its a bigger, better ferry.

Second I think they supply you with EHU for the crossing if you ask:thumb:

Thanks for your suggestions so far. I am travelling on the Cap Finisterre. I did phone Brittany and they said no EHU.

When we travel over we ask the loading officer for EHU, they're happy to oblige:thumb:
