A lot of us have these for our vans.. has anyone sourced a 12v charger..
I've knocked up a USB charging lead to give it a try but as that is only giving 5.2v and the mains charger is producing 5.5v it's never going to fully charge the batteries. .
The other thing I'm unsure about is whether the mains charger has some other circutry built in specifically for lithium ion batteries... but I'm thinking the USB outlets are charging thosee type of batteries anyway, but possibly the phones or devices have the regulating devices built into them...
Anyone advise or done it..
Andy

Ours is the silvercrest lidl? alternative.
We have chopped usb lead and fitted plug to connect.
Seems to charge and work ok.
Hardest was to find a plug but a scrap pc offered up something that fits.
Havent checked voltage with meter, but mains charger has 5vdc output written on it. The actual battery is 3.7v.

That's basically what I've cobbled up..
Two female jacks on the end of each charging lead..ie mains and USB and then put a male on the original fitting off the mains charger so it can be fitted to either charger..(pic attached)
Pleased you say it seems to work OK. ..
I'll also give it a try..

gave me a small 12v thingy
Is that a technical term for a charger or some other device that runs the window vac...:D:D
If it is a suitable 12v charger that's what I was looking for and couldn't find...
